Ciliegiolo

Flag of Italy

Meaning “little cherry” in its native Italian, Ciliegiolo (pronounced chee-lee’eh-joh-loh) is very closely linked to the famous Sangiovese grape, and likewise thrives in the hills of Tuscany. Ciliegiolo wines are a lush red colour, with a soft structure and restrained acidity; they’re unabashedly juicy in appeal and equally enjoyable both with or without food.
