Godello is a white grape native to Spain and Portugal, where it’s considered the Chardonnay of those countries for the rich, almost creamy wines it produces, especially when aged in oak. However, Godello can also produce lighter, minerally wines too when it’s fermented in a steel-tank, very similar to the wines produced in Chablis, France.
