Mondeuse is an ancient grape variety native to the Savoie region of Eastern France, but more and more plantings are being made in the New World. Typically, Mondeuse produces aromatic red wine – think sour cherry, damson plum and black pepper – and tends to be high in acidity; it’s a great match with Lebanese food.
