Corvinone is very similar to the Corvina grape and is likewise both grown in the Veneto region of northern Italy and most commonly used in the famous Valpolicella blends. The grapes are almost black in colour, with the name Corvinone deriving from the Italian word “corvo”, meaning crow, and produces very complex, intense red wines.
